Advantages: Fairly cheap, great tasting food, open kitchen
Disadvantages: None
I am a somewhat regular visitor to Prezzos and find their food of a good quality and the service is usually really good in my local branch and another two branches I have been in at least.
Prezzos are basically an Italian restaurant, similar to Zizzis (very similar actually) and have a whole range of options available on their main menu from pastas to pizzas and even burgers and salads for those who don't fancy anything Italian! There are two different menus available - Calzone and Pollo Arrosto - most things are the same but the Calzone menu has the folded pizzas option and the Pollo Arrosto menu has the roast chicken option. They also have lunch menus and childrens menus available.
I have had many things from Prezzos Calzone menu including pizzas and pasta and I have never had any complaints. The food is always brought out on time and the waiters and waitresses always seem happy and helpful. I have to say that the pizza sized garlic bread with melted cheese and balsamic onions (Pane Con Cipolla) really is one of the best things I have ever tasted - I would highly recommend this as a start to share! They also do this in Zizzis - Zizzis version is slightly better I have to say but Prezzos one is almost equally as yummy! I would also reccommend the meatballs and carbonara as mains!
The price of food in Prezzos is fairly reasonable. You can expect to pay on average £3 for a starter (£5 for the sharing garlic pizza bread though), and £8-£10 for a main course which I think is pretty good. There are always offer vouchers floating around too. If you sign up on their website they email you money off vouchers as and when they have them. Most of these are only Sunday-Thursday but I received one this week which is 7 days a week and is basically buy any main course and get one free. I shall be using that in the next couple of weeks for sure.
I don't really drink that much but they have a good selection of wines and beers and again the prices are OK - obviously a mark up from the supermarket but basically what you'd expect in a restaurant of this kind. Fairly good value.
Prezzos have a very helpful website www.loveprezzo.co.uk where you can look at full menus and find a local branch. And like I said, sign up to receive money off vouchers (handy if you are a family with kids as well). I would highly recommend Prezzos - I have never had a bad experience which is pretty rare to be honest, and I have been going there for a long time now. The food is good, reasonably priced and the atmosphere is usually great. Sometimes my restaurant is a bit empty (worrying but we are in a recession I guess) but the décor in there more than makes up for it. I love the fact that their pizzas are made in a stone baked oven which is pretty much open to the restaurant so if you sit near enough you can see your food being cooked. Quite like that.
Anyway, give Prezzos a try if you haven't been already - I think its yummy!
Summary: Great food very tasty and excellent value for money
