When I first started working in Camden I discovered a nice and very reasonably priced cafe called the Bean and Cup. Back in the days before I had friends to have lunch with I would happily spend my hour in the comfort of the bean and cup reading a book and eating the best carrot cake I have ever tasted. Then it closed down. There wasn't even any warning, one day I was in there having coffee with a friend (by this point I had started socialising with my colleagues), the next day there was a to let sign.
