After 25 mins, the waitress apologised as she thought we'd had our mains as little one was still eating. We accepted and were happy with that but then over 20 mins later our mains still hadn't shown up. Express Review on The Red Barn (Geronimo Inns)

I had heard the Red Barn was average, but I wanted to see for myself. The food was awful, the service appalling and my friend found a screw in her meal. The manager was indifferent and the waitress rude. However, the band was excellent.

Happend upon this restaurant while out for a drive. We didn't have reservations but were placed on the waiting list and given a table within 30 mins at 1.30pm. We'd had a drink in the bar and purchased some great veg and eggs in the farm shop while waiting. Beautiful, beautiful surrounding (incl. the gardens), fine food which is very reasonably priced but the service was awful. The staff seem to be youngsters probably from the area and were all very polite but didn't really seem to be on the ball with service. We ordered and asked for our daughters main to come with our starters. We were served within about 10 mins, we finished and waited for the table to ...  Read the complete review

I am part of the team that runs the Red Barn so am not writing a review, but wanted to be able to say thet the Red Barn is no longer a Brewers Fayre but an independent frehouse and food pub. We have also opend Snowtes Farm shop with a butcher on site, fresh vegetables delivered daily and it is open from 8am for breakfast cooked on the Aga. It is very different to the old pub so please do come down for a drink, a nose around the shop or a bite to eat. We have completeley redocrated the pub and the grounds. The barn is still strikingly handsome and we have added a large wood burning fire to the centre. It is generally where most diners eat, but ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review The Red Barn, nothing to 'Snout' at here (1408 words)

When my family go out for lunch it normally costs a small fortune, yes my wife can put the food away as though a famine was about to commence but I also have four children and by the time we have all finished working our way through a 3 course meal the pennies have certainly mounted up. That said if we ever find a restaurant that offers good food, an area for the kids and value for money we tend to frequent it often as opposed to searching out another. The Red Barn in Blindley Heath, Lingfield (about 1 mile from Lingfield race course) is just such a place. Whilst its location is less than half a mile from the main A22, you wouldn’t know it once you arrive at ...  Read the complete review
