The Pot Belly Restaurant located between Banbridge, County Down and Gilford, County Armagh is a hidden treasure and if you are near this neck of the woods then make sure you make a point of enjoying a meal here. Set in a converted Linen Mill by the River Bann this restaurant is set over two floors. On arriving take yourself up to the first floor via the wooden stair case. La Mon House Hotel has to be one of my favourites in Co.Down. This is because the carvery they do there is really very nice and the dining hall is quite big and the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed. It's really great for the whole family to go for a special occasion as they quite often would have face painting and bouncy castles for the children after the meal as well as a wide screen television in the upper bar. The main attraction (and my favourite) is the carvery.
