Restaurants in SkegnessNewest Review: ... 6pm, they have a really good menu, containing some lovely main courses including Lamb Shank, Pork, Chicken Breast, Lasagne, Sausage and Mash, Scampi, Salmon (my favourite), Haddock and Steak. The prices are very reasonable and the waiting time is not too bad. The setting of the restaurant is great too because it is overlooking the focal point of Skegness, the clock tower. I have been visiting Skegness all of my life and have been to quite a few restaurants in the area. By far my favourite place to eat in Skeggy though is the Marine Boathouse. TOWER RESTAURANT, LUMLEY ROAD, SKEGNESS
Soggy Yorkshire Pudding
Instant Mash (says fresh on the board outside!)
Tinned Processed Peas
Dried up tinned carrotts
2 thin slices of lamb (supermarket deli counter?)
All left to swim in a sea of cardboard tasting gravy.
The 2 small roast potatoes were passable.
They say 'an empty restaurant is a bad restaurant' - how true in this case.
1* is for the waitress who was pleasant and efficient.
