Sabatini's is tucked away down a side street on Newcastle quayside and is not immediately noticeable. They usually put a blackboard on the main pedestrian thoroughfare announcing their early bird meals, which are fantastic value. The value might lead many to think this is a basic fare student joint, but it is very high quality food with a lovely traditional restaurant interior. The menu is traditional Italian fare, lots of pizza and pasta, but there is also a fish and meat menu. Desserts are very thick, leaning towards the panna cota and tirimasu vein as opposed to sticky toffee pudding or apple pie. All the food is well made but very rich, I dread to think ...
