Starbucks... more than just coffee (Starbucks)

Advantages: Super hot chocolate

Disadvantages: Bitter coffee, dry muffins

The only time I ever went into Starbucks was when someone else was paying. These used to be work meetings most of the time. Although most of those involved acknowledged the fact that the drinks were very expensive, we also commented that it was very tasty. So for those once in a while drinks it certainly went down well.

Having changed paths in my career, those work meetings no longer happen. Since then I have been into Starbucks on a few occasions. Totally love their Hot Chocolate topped with cream. Very smooth, creamy and chocolatey. The extra expense is worth it. Not only for the taste, but for the surroundings. The nice comfy chairs and internet access make this a place that I can get away from the office, have a nice cuppa and be creative.

That said, I do not rate their food very highly. The muffins are often dry. Also, in comparison to Costa, the Starbucks cappuccino is quite bitter.

All in all a good service, with a smile. Though it is only the hot chocolate that keeps me going back.

Summary: For a relaxing drink, this offers a nice environment
