Advantages: The coffee flavours - especially christmas ones

Disadvantages: Quite pricey - and some branches not so pleasant to sit in

I love Starbucks! I know the trend is to say that it's just a faceless chain of a coffee shop and overpriced etc etc but I love them and i don't care!
I'm not even a huge coffee drinker - in fact i'd never make myself an instant coffee but i'm partial to a Starbucks skinny latte and in the summer the Caramel Frappucino - a million calories of caramel, coffee and whipped cream but soooo delicious!

At the moment i'm enjoying their Christmas coffees. They have two that they did last year - Toffee nut latte and Gingerbread latte but they have gotten rid of the Egg Nog latte (which i never did try becuase i've never had Egg Nog and thought it sounded a bit odd). They have instead brought out the Dark cherry Mocha - it is dark chocolate and coffee with a hint of dark cherry flavour and isn't too sickly. I vote for the Toffee Nut latte one as my favourite though - i've now had 5 of these coffees in 4 days which for a non- coffee drinker most of the 365 days in the year its not bad going and testiment to how delicious they are i would say!

Starbucks themselves vary I think in terms of how nice they are to sit inside and relax with a coffee or drink and a piece of cake. The ones I generally frequent are in Queen's Park (they were incredibly friendly in there and didn't mind when 3 of us used to sit in there for about 2 or 3 hours only buying one coffee each and taken over a table to do a German lesson in there!), Pinner (north west london) which is a large branch and on a late sunday afternoon you can usually get a seat - nice and relaxing but the staff are a bit abrubt) and Northwood which is ok but very small and not particularly pleasant to sit in. In fact there is a much nicer Costa just down the road and although i love Starbucks coffee i'd actually rather go to the Costa in Northwood - however if you fancy a bit of "celebrity spotting" then stay in Starbucks - McFly have been known to have a few beverages in the Northwood branch and Ziggy from Big Brother frequents the Queen's Park one!!

Summary: I prefer Starbucks generally to Cafe Nero and sometimes Costa
