Starbucks is a chain of coffee shops world wide that sell a high quality coffee, though be prepared to pay the price. Starbucks have been around since the 1970's where they first started out in America, now they have stores all over the world and as well as selling coffee, they also sell hot chocolate and food.

They have both take out and sit in prices for customers to pay, and a cup of coffee will cost your around £2-3 depending on what kind you get and also whether you sit in or take out. Food which is mostly buns and toast and cookies, will cost around £1-4 depending again on what you buy again. Though compared to other cafes their prices seem to be much higher, though as a little treat, its worth it. One thing I dont like about Starbucks is that they do no sell coca cola products, so if you go with friends and are not a coffee fan, you will have to make do with a smoothie or bottled water.

The staff in Starbucks seem to be well trained and are normally happy and hellpful, which is always a good thing when you are spending so much on your cup of coffee. The star almost always also keep their premises very clean and tidy, which makes it a nice place to eat and relax in. Starbucks are also commited to hireing fairly regardless to the country the person is being hired in which is a big plus for me as a customer.

The beverages on sale in Starbucks include:
Latte's
Cappuccino
Caramel Macchiato
Caffè Mocha
Expresso
Hot Chocolate
Caramel Hot Chocolate
Tea
just to name a few, these drinks can have flavoured syrup added for an extra price and also whipped cream added or marshmellows.

Overall Starbucks is a bit over priced, but they make a really good cup of coffee or hot chocolate so sometimes to me its worth it when I can afford it for a treat.

My issue with starbucks is that they claim to have coffee that is fairtrade - less than 5% (as of the end of last year!) is fair trade! Grrrr - they're so huge, they could do their bit! Px

They're prices are not too bad, but I once got a take out, got just outside the shop and across the road, took a sip and it was luke warm. I know they have the tendancy to make the coffee just the right temp to drink but you shouldn't expect that. Our nearest starbucks is 15 miles away, we usually stick to the Costa which is 5 miels away. lol. Brill review. Kirsty x
