Advantages: Lovely cafe and coffee.

Disadvantages: so expensive.

You know, I'd heard of starbucks when watching television, from friends and even from adverts on the internet and I had never been there. I recently went to Merry Hill on a shopping trip with my mum and we decided to have a sit down for a nice, much-needed coffee. We chose starbucks because it was the nearest one and sat down for a rest.
I said I'd fetch them and she gave me a £5 note. Two minutes later, I came back with a large cappucino and a regular Mocha for myself, and having added money myself, was quite appalled at the price. I think that the coffees are around 2.80 +.
We sat down and was impressed by our surroundings. It was only small, but they had done a lot with nice laminate flooring, posh tables and comfortable chairs with a small coffee table and settee. I feltr relaxed and like the atmosphere there.
Down to the coffee. I enjoyed getting all of the cream from the top which was delicious. then it was down to the coffee itself. I usually put two sugars into my drinks, but I didn't need to with this, probably because of the chocolate in it. It tasted really warm and smooth with a hint of chocolate taste. It was by far one of the best coffees that I have ever experienced, I really liked it. I had a sip of my mums too, which was OK, but I'm not a fan of cappucino anyway so I can't compare it to anyone elses.
Overall, I was very pleased with the service I recieved, the actual cafe itself and especially their beautiful coffee. I've never had the chance to try their food, but if I do, then I'll add it to the review. I craved one when I got home and had to drink Nescafe. The only huge turn off is the price, its ridiculous for a coffee, so I probably wouldn't drink there on a regular basis, but I would consider treating myself once in a while to a luxurious starbucks cafe.

Summary: A great cafe and awesome coffee.

Most of the coffee chains are a bit over-priced really. I find the service in Starbucks in London generally poor - much prefer Pret a Manger.
