Advantages: A variety of Italian cuisine including pasta, pizza, fish and meat

Disadvantages: The steak is a little pricey for what you get

I regularly visit my local Strada in Chelmsford, Essex and it's ine if my favourite restaurants, in fact on Friday i celebrated my 25th birthday there! I recommend booking as they always get busy especially over the weekends. I think it's great for a romantic meal as it has a nice ambience with candles on the tables and the green and red colour scheme creates a warm feeling. The staff are always friendly, professional and attentive which is why i don't mind paying the 12.5% service charge that they add to any bill - it is optional but you do feel obliged to pay it. Luckily i have never had any reason not to want to pay it. You can often find buy one get one free on main courses on money saving expert if you fancy giving it a try. The schiacciatella breads are yummy especially the pesto and tomato one. The polenta con funghi si my favourite starter and my favourite main in the salmon con lenticchie but i've tried most of the mains on the menu and think they are all delicious. They regularly have some exceptional specials on the menu too.

Summary: Brilliant place to go with friends or for a romantic meal
