My review of my local subway (Subway)

Advantages: Freshly made right in front of your eyes

Disadvantages: very expensive for what it is

Here is a review I wrote for another site called Qype. It is for my local branch of Subway in St. Helens. Please find the review below:

There is a trade off here between the food and the price. I find paying £3 plus for a butty extortionate here - even if it is made in front of your eyes. Having said that, the food is lovely. I dont go in often because of the price but if your shopping in town, say at christmas etc and you feel like a luxury snack then this place is great.

The inside of the shop is very fancy. The staff handle the food with care but I have walked passed on ocassions when they have been sat on the counters when the shop has been empty - not very hygenic.

The shop is the last one of a block and at its gable end there are a few industrial wheelie bin/skips. These are usually full and give off a nasty smell and sometimes they are overfilled and the garbage spills onto the street and all around the entrance of the shop.

They do have a good choice of butties to choose from and of course the thing with subway is that you can ask for anything you like to be put on your sandwich.

Summary: A place for a luxury treat now and again - not all the time!
