I love subway sandwiches. I went to my local store today, I was just in the door and one of the staff said "we only have wraps or salad" I said, "sorry", she said "the oven is broken and we have no bread". So I went to another store. You'd think I was obsessed.

Anyway, What I love about the subway is how fresh everything is, the bread, the salad, even the cookies are often still warm.

The concept of Subway is, that you have what you want, the way you want. I have to say that the first time I went into a subway, I was luckily with someone who had done it all before. The staff don't like it if you are new and do not know the system. So here are a few tips for anyone who has not tried it yet. it's best if you have already decided what you want before you join the line.

1. You choose the bread you'd like, there are 5 to choose from.
2. Choose the size you'd like (6inch or foot long)
3. Choose your main filling (eg. Ham, steak, tuna mayo)
4. Decide if you want cheese (sliced, pepperjack or grated)(sliced is best)
5. Decide if you want it cold, heated or toasted (heated is best)
6. Choose any salad
7. Choose a sauce (southwest is nice)

By this time you will have been making your way along the counter and will now be at the till. You may decide at this point that you want to make it a meal. This means you can add a drink and either a cookie or a bag of crisps for an extra 1.20 (it's a good deal).

you will then pay and either sit in or take away.

In my opinion, it can be a bit pricey so it is a good idea to find out what the sub of the day is (each day a different filling is on offer at 1.99 for a 6 inch).

I also look out for special offers on in store, like the most recent is the ham sub for 1.49. there is also often voucher books at the till point, this is what i use most often, it helps to keep the price down, and well worth it.

Summary: Very tasty lunch, always look out for promos, and voucher books at the till. 10/10
