Advantages: tasty
Disadvantages: fatty
Subway has really taken off over the past 5 or 6 years. They have at least 1 outlet in most towns and cities in the UK. Often these are in shopping centre type places.
Subway offer a limited menu (mostly sandwiches) Their new snack menu i feel is meant to extend their range and possible cliantelle. Over the past 2-3 years Subway has put lots of efford into advertising and developing new sandwiches. Their daily sub seems to have really taken off for £1.99. I do feel some of their other sandwiches are a bit too expensive for what you get - pretty small portions.
I like the fact that sandwiches are made fresh onsite - i would much rather buy a subway sandwich than one from a supermarket. You can also choose exactly how much of each filling you want in.
Unfortunately most subway breads and fillings are very fattening. I think they should be doing more to introduce a lower fat range - i think this would go down really well.
Overall i like Subway - they have really convenient opening times (a wide range) and do really tasty sandwiches. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a filling but not particularly healthy snack.
Summary: nice as a change

- 15/05/09 A snack? I find a small one of these more of a meal in itself, LOL. |
