Advantages: fresh, tasty

Disadvantages: Not too filling.

There is a Subway right next to my work, so I often find myself calling in there to buy my lunch when I have some money in my pocket.

Subway is basically a sandwich shop, but it's unique in that you can choose what bread you want, the size and exactly what is in the sandwich - even down to salt, pepper etc.

The sorts of fillings available are Turkey, Bacon, meatballs, chicken, Tuna, Steak etc, on which you can choose to add cheese, sauces, salad stuff etc.
This is cool as you can request more of what you like and none of the stuff you dislike!

The subs come in either 6" or footlong. I usually go for the 6" because of cost, however they don't always fill me up to be honest. A 6" sub will set you back around £2.50, with the footlong's costing nearly twice that, which is more than most people would like to pay for their sandwich.

The other advantage of Subway is that the food is fresh evey day, unlike when you buy a ready made sandwich and you never know exactly how long it has been on that shelf for. I always find that ready made, pre packaged sarnies either have soggy or hard bread - hence I never buy them now.

For those of us trying to eat healthy, Subway do eight low fat subs, which contain less than 3g fat per 100g. I usually eat the Turkey breast 6 " sub which has just 4g fat and 250 calories. True, I'm still hungry afterwards but nevertheless, it is a tasty sandwich.

All in all, I do like Subway a lot for the choice, freshness of ingredients and also convenience, my only niggle is that the 6" sub doesn't fill me up but a footlong might be too big!
The cost for the 6" is acceptable, however a footlong is too much to pay for your lunch every day.

Summary: Nice fresh food.
