Subway is an American sandwich chain which offers fresh, made to order sandwiches at reasonable prices. It also sells salads, wraps and snacks such as crisps and cookies. There is also a low fat range of subs. The bread is baked fresh in each store every day and all the ingredients are freshly prepared.
I have only recently going to subway, but have been pleasantly surprised. I have avoided it in the past as, being vegetarian I thought that there would not be too many options for me.

- The Process -

When you go into subway there is a process that you go through to make your sandwich. Firstly, you go to the counter and say what kind of bread you would like (Italian, Hearty Italian, Honey Oat, Italian Herbs and Cheese or Wheat) and what primary filling you would like in it e.g. chicken temptation, turkey breast, veggie patty and what size bread you would like. You can either have a six inch or a footlong. If you would like a salad or a wrap instead you just state this.You also get the option to have cheese and have your sandwich toasted at this stage. Your sandwich is then moved onto the salad bar which has a wide range of salad fillings. At this point you can also choose a sauce (if any) that you would like in your sandwich. The sauce options are: Chipotle Southwest, Honey Mustard, Light Mayo, Sweet Onion, Hot Chilli, BBQ or Ranch. All of the prices and different fillings are displayed on the wall or behind the counter. There is even a chart with basic nutritional info so you know how many calories etc are in your sub.

There is a lot of choice for anyone of any dietary need and the salads are delicious and big!

There are also deals such as the sub of the day or the £3 lunch which consists of any one of 9 subs and a drink.
This concept to sandwich making is fast becoming very successful, as it allows you to pick exactly what you want and be as picky as you like!
