Advantages: good, reasonably priced food

Disadvantages: can get a bit crowded

This is an Indian canteen with a different style. There are large tables set out so that you may be eating in close proximity to another party or couple, but if there's enough room the staff will space you out so that you have enough room to be comfortable but there is still a cosy aspect to it.

The food there is lovely. You get to have complimentary poppadoms with three different chutneys while you wait for your meal which is ordered on one of those new fangled digital things so that your order is probably sent to the kitchen before the very polite member of staff leaves your side.

My favourite dish is the butter chicken curry. Each main dish can be ordered with naan bread or rice, I've tried both and either is fine. Don't expect the naan bread you get from the supermarket though, this is round and fresh with buttery goodness.

You can get a filling meal and drinks here for around £10 which is rather cheap compared to other Indian style restaurants.
Tamatanga also offers the option of phoning in an order and then collecting it later so you can eat it at home.

Summary: Lovely food and a friendly environment
