Advantages: Best bread in town!

Disadvantages: No where near the west end!

This isn't the most convenient place to get to if you live in the west end, but well worth dropping in if you are in the area! Although I do always think a west end version of this place would go down a treat! Their coffee is great, but it's their bread that's a winner for me! They are the only people in Glasgow that make a corn bread which is just perfect warm with butter. Another favourite of mine is the 'Struan' loaf, which is made with milk and honey and encrusted with poppy seeds.

Fortunately you can now find Tapa breads on sale in Roots and Fruits on Byres Road, and also in Kember and Jones (also on Byres Road) at the weekends. You can also pick up their bread and coffee at the farmers market, every second Saturday at Downhill School. Oh, and did I mention they make great cakes too!...

Summary: I wish there was one closer to me!
