Advantages: good food, helpful staff, good knowledge
Disadvantages: bit pricy, bit 'out of the way'
this is a review of the best Italian restaurant in Staffordshire by a long chalk. I f you want bona fide italian cuisine, served by proprietors who know their onions from their garlic and who are welcoming, friendly & yet efficient then you absolutely MUST try the TERRAZZA in Rugeley.
Now, Rugeley is not exactly the centre of the gastronomic universe, in fact it has little to crow about, ( apart from being the home town of a mass poisoner in victorian times!). However, you definately WON'T be poisoned by a visit to Terrazza!
My partner and I have dined here on several occasions, and whilst we do not purport to be #'Micheal Winners' in our recognition of the finer details of haute cuisine, we do appreciate good food, and the food served at Terrazza is very fine indeed. The food is authentically italian, ( the chef, who is co-proprietor), is italian himself). Also, for a couple who are terribly difficult to please, ( I am vegetarian whilst Karen, my partner, is Vegan!), the Terazza staff go to extra-ordinary lengths to ensure we have a delightful meal every time we visit.
In short, even Micheal Winner himself would be a 'winner' here, ( groan, 'scuse that dreadful pun!}. So, I urger you to try it, you will not be disappointed.
