The Bombay Restaurant is situated just off the Kingston Road, Ewell and I promise you that once you have tried it, other Indian restaurants will just fade in comparison. You need to book a table since this restaurant has a faithful band of diners that religiously return and I have even seen it packed out on a week day evening. What attracts people, you may ask? well, the interior is plush and spacious, the tables are a nice distance apart so you don't find yourself listening to other peoples' conversations (pet hate of mine!) and there are half screens thoughtfully placed between each table. The staff treat you like royalty and there is always a warm welcome for you here. But by far, the main attraction is the thing I have been saving for last....the food! I kid you not, once you have tasted The Bombay's finest array of dishes, you will be so spoiled that you won't want to go elsewhere! Their menu is extensive - you name it, they have it and will even cater to your own individual requirements should you not see exactly what you want. The waiters will willingly assist you in your choice should you not be too sure about ingredients. By far, their piece de resistance is their range of Balti dishes which are out of this world. Apparantely, the meat is marinated for hours before they combine it with vegetables, spices and cook in the tandoor in iron dishes. The smell is irresistable as they bring the cast iron dish to your table still sizzling away!
