This pub had been recommended to us, and after reading the good reviews we thought we were in for a real treat. The pub itself is very tastefully decorated and has a very cosy feel. But the food was not as good as we had hoped. We ordered the meat tapas to share, and it was ok, pricey I thought for the amount that was on the plate. My partner was happy with his lamb main course, but i was very disapointed with my fish stew with aioli. The main attraction for that dish is the aioli, but it was merely bog standard ready made mayonnaise, with a hint of garlic (powder?). Don't advertise aioli if you can't make one.I would not go back.

Ate there tonight on our anniversary. They sat us on a table where we had to move every time a waiter went past, brought the wrong wine, forgot to bring part of the main course and when we complained about the hair embedded in the pudding [disgusting!], their only action was not to charge for that pudding. Might be an OK place when it isnt busy, but I certainly wouldnt take the risk ... avoid!

The Crabmill is a unique venue in its own right. A light, modern pub, influenced by continental style, while retaining a traditional air in its atmosphere and warm welcome.
