Advantages: Jazz, food, hotel

Disadvantages: Can be cramped

The Harrogate Brasserie is a very popular hotel and restaurant in the heart of Harrogate. Situated a stones throw from the conference centre it is very popular with visitors and locals.
The hotel consists of 15 rooms ranging from £90 to £120 with full english breakfast included. I have not stayed in the rooms myself but I have heard good things about them and the photos on the website look nice.
We do eat here quite a lot, particularly on Sundays which is typically Jazz night. Each week they have a different artist performing jazz numbers and they have had some highly respected jazz musicians there in the past. Depending on who is on, the music can range from quite slow tempo to very upbeat. The latter can be quite intrusive as they play in the middle of the restaurant often right next to your table. I stil lrecommend you visit though.
The food is good hearty british food with good portioning. Prices are reasonable , averaging about £5 for a starter and £10 for a main.
It is a lovely dark interior brimming with character and they have also recently introduced a lovely new terrace at the front so you can people watch. The owners are very friendly and professional.

certainly is. People think it's full of old people drinking tea in Bettys but there's a lot more to the place than that!
