Located next to Marylebone Station in the heart of London, this is the ideal place for a refined, exquisite supper.

I was first taken here when I was young, and I loved it the moment I stepped in. The restaurant, named 'The Winter Garden', is in the middle of the Hotel, not on the doorstep, which means it is perfectly quiet, cut off from the hustle and bustle of London, even though it is next to a large station. The restaurant itself is a space in the centre of a large area right on the centre of the hotel, and is surrounded by overlooking windows of the rooms. It is covered over by a huge skylight, very high above your head, giving the area a spacious atmosphere. It is wonderful to relax here, and two palm trees grow at the entrance to the seating area. It is so quiet, and often a piano will be played on a overlooking balcony, out of sight, giving gentle tinkling sounds that exacerbate the soothing atmosphere. The seats are comfortable and the area carpeted, and the service is second to none. The servers tend to have a quiet and gentle countenance and do not intrude on your evening whatsoever. They will be glad to suggest wines to accompany your meal.

The food is also superb. A wide range of tastes await whatever you order, and there are many bits to each plate, and so each mouthful is different and should be savoured. There is nothing else to say except that it is perfect. Leave room for the dessert, you will be glad you did. If you do not want to eat, the place is perfect for having a teapot and a selection of cakes brought, and to relax.

The prices are expensive, yes, but you get what you pay for and you pay for a wonderful place to eat and wonderful food.

Summary: Don't miss out
