I agree with the other reviewer - this is a very rare and surprising find in a small Scottish town. The Thai food is marvellous, and the standard British fare can't be faulted. Sawnee (sp?) and her staff couldn't be more helpful, and the atmosphere is friendly. Worth travelling a few miles to try. They do takeways and sit-down meals, and a Sunday buffet (which I haven't tried yet). This is now a Thai restaurant, operating as the Siamese Kitchen when it serves Thai food. But it's still know as the Pewter Plate when it serves traditional British fare. For a small town, this is a nice, friendly place, and not too expensive. The Thai food is excellent, and the staff couldn't be more friendly.
