I heard mixed opinions and regularly go to China East in Hatfield so as we were in the Galleria myself, husband and 2 young kids popped in. It was busy but got a table quickly on good friday lunchtime.

-The chicken in the dishes was pinky inside
-The sauces were terribly artificial
-poor selection and running out of everything

There was totally no customer service compared to other friendlier places. The plates were v wet as came out of dishwasher but a few of us didnt want to put our fresh food on such wet plates so i kindly asked a member of staff if she had something to dry it with and she said 'cant you see we are very busy?', i was shocked and explained i didnt want to eat off a wet plate and she got me paper towel!

I wont be going here again. I know its cheap but customers deserve a bit more quality. China East does good (not always excellent) value food, with a greater selection and their staff are always friendly and helpful...
