The Sessions House (Peterborough) Reviews

Newest Review: ... Bank Holiday. As usual waiters were nice, smiling and i loved the food!!! I mean usually the food is truly yammy but today it was even more yammy!!! It was excellent!! Is never too good when you pay. :) The offer is still available so we paid as little as £ 5.95 per carvery and each of us truly filled the plates so the value is fantastic! My daughter was so full she couldn`t even eat it all! It was nice as well as service as while we went to get the carvery the waiter got our drinks ready on the table for us, so we didnt had to wait at all when we got back. I dived into my lavish meal and i truly loved it! I love it everuthime as the car... more

HI, I went with my family today as it is the 2nd May (Bank Holiday) 2011 and even though i am ( or we are) regular customer we always fancy a carvery on fridays we also thought to go on Sessions House for the Monday Bank Holiday. Me and my family fancied a nice carvery, so we asked advice to some friends for a good restaurant & carvery. Many names came out but then we decided to go to The session`s House as it is a beautiful Castle just 5 minutes walk from Peterborough City Centre. The entrance, the waiters was impressive, we have been asked where we wanted to sit and my 2 daughters decided to sit on the second floor of the restaurant. Got our Carveries from the Buffet/ self service area and we filled up REALLY with lots of super veggy and cheesey calli. My wife loved the roasted parnips ( crunchy outside, soft and sugary inside), i loved my roasted potatos ( you cant ... Read the complete review

went there again as i said on a previous review and it was lovely. I will go there again, i enjoyed the meal and again i have to say that the waiters were really nice and smiling . I just loved the beef and the gravy with onions in it, the coffes were lovely and i am sorry to see some reviews about the session house were it has been described like a poor experience or something but i am glad to see that all the " not so nice reviews" are actually quite old ( 2008) and i am sure that its only tyhe case of very few. I go there quite often and i love it every time. Food is lovely, ( i personally love the gravy-perfect every time) i also ... Read the complete review

Visited The Sessions House at lunchtime with out two year old twin grandaughters. We had visited before and been very pleased so after reading the bad review we went feeling very wary...Pleased to say that we had no need to worry at all. We were met with enthusiasm by the waiter who arranged high chairs etc and even offered to watch over the twins while we went to the carvery! The food was tasty and well presented and offered good value. All in all no complaints at all...

Rather than write an actual 'review', I'll just copy in a letter of complaint that we sent off to the management of the Sessions House, (by actual letter, not email) approximately six weeks ago. It should be noted that we never received any sort of reply whatsoever. Ergo, we will never be visiting this poor establishment again. They had their chance, and blew it! Dear Sir/Madam, On Saturday 3rd July 2010 I took my father along for a carvery meal at the Sessions House. It was a treat for Fathers day. I have to say that the experience was, sadly, somewhat disappointing. Both the waiter and the chef were actually quite sullen, almost ... Read the complete review
