Advantages: Central location, area to dance, drink, chill.
Disadvantages: Extremely high drinks prices, toilets in an awful state
I have been here on two occasions and both times I was not impressed as the Tiger Tiger venues are usually above average for a night out!
I visited on a Sunday night the first time and the bar was still really lively. Entry was £4 at around 9.30pm. I have also visited on a Saturday night and the bar was extremely busy and paid £10 to enter at about 10.30pm, which for London on a Saturday night I think is a fair entry fee.
The bar was unnaturally cold both times I visited, even when dancing I was absolutely freezing which is very very unusual. At one point we had to move from the seated area as the air con was blowing out such cold air!!
Prices for drinks were high!! It wasn't too bad for alcohpops (£3.50) but we were stung for spirits and a mixture. Single measures with a mixer were £5. This was for vodka, and Jack Daniels. We also paid £4 per shot of sambucca!!
The music played was a good mix of chart/ house music and there was something for everyone. The bar also has an area to dance and generally we had a good time.
I didn't dine at this Tiger Tiger but I have dined in the Newcastle and Manchester venues and they are really good value for money, and the food is cooked well and there is a wide choice of food on the menu.
In my opinion its not one of my favourite venues from the Tiger Tiger chain and it certainly doesn't meet the standard of others in the bar chain!
Summary: An average venue from an above average chain! Expensive for drinks.
