Advantages: Good music, good offers on food and drink
Disadvantages: Busy
I went to tiger tiger last night for the first time as part of a night out. We decided to visit it because we had some 50% off vouchers for food and drink between 7 and 11pm. Tiger Tiger is a chain which has a few locations alround the country. We went to the one on Haymarket Road London. It was fairly easy to get to by the tube although Picadilly Circus has a lot of roads coming off it so it is confusing to know where to go but we managed to find it.
We got there around 9 o clock and it was very busy already. At this time of night you do not need to pay to get in although later on you have to pay £10 to get in which is fairly pricey. It was packed full of people but the queues at the bars were not too bad. We decided to go round to the toilets, there was a big queue but this was for the cloakroom. We decided not to use this as there was a massive queue and we weren't going to be staying all night. The toilets didn't have any queues when we used them which was good and they were fairly clean.
After we went to the loo we went back upstairs and to the bar. The queue was not too bad and there were a range of drinks available. We decided to have cocktails as they looked quite interesting. We had a strawberry clouds and a passionate. These were made with stuff that came out of packets but were still very tasty. The staff were ok but were not very friendly although they were very busy so don't blame them too much. They took the voucher with no questions, a lot of people were using them. The cocktails were normally 5.70 a glass but were now 2.85 which is pretty good value. There were not many places to stand or sit because of the amount of people. We went upstairs and found somewhere to put our drinks and coats. A lot of people did keep barging into us though which was a pain. You can book a booth for free for your friends, which would be a good idea if you were planning on staying there all night.
The music was good. It was all the sort of music I enjoy which is dance, pop and R & B . Basically all the stuff that is in the charts at the moment so if you like this kind of music it is good. There was a dance floor downstairs which wasn't too busy so if you want a little dance there would be room to do it.
We also later on bought a bottle of wine, which was 7 pounds half price. This isn't bad for about two glasses each so I would say with the vouchers it is very good value. The drinks are not too over priced though even if they were full price.
We didn't eat at the restaurant but there were sections that were specifically for diners. I wouldn't think that I would particularly want to have a meal where people are drunk everywhere but that is my opinion. They seem to have a variety of dishes on the menu for a reasonable price, around 10-15 pounds.
Overall I would say that Tiger Tiger is quite a fun place to go out. If you like that kind of music and don't mind crowds then you would probably enjoy it but I wouldn't stay there all night.

Summary: A fun place for a night out
