 ... - there are over a hundred different dishes and combinations available. Portions are incredibly generous so I sometimes end up ordering two starters rather than a main. Most of the starters are Chinese based - my favourites are the chicken and sweetcorn soup which is one of the lightest options, the prawn toasts and the veggie spring rolls - both come with a sweet & sour dipping sauce. As you walk along Berry Street into Chinatown in Liverpool you could easily walk past Tokyou on the way to some of the fancier, better known restaurants in the area. It is well worth looking out for this Japanese style noodle bar though as it serves great Asian food and is incredibly cheap. To spot it as you walk past the lions that mark the start of Chinatown look out for the red sign and hanging baskets above the wood panelled window. The inside is fairly small - there is a counter at the window which seats up to 6 people and 12 small tables which each seat 4 people (maybe 6 at a push but be prepared to bump elbows with your friends!).
