great place to grab a late supper meal

Along with La Bella this is one of me and my old work mates favourite place to grab a late supper before we used to start work at 11pm. Located in the Market Place Cleethorpes made it the perfect place to go eat since we worked at a night club on the high street, even today despite me not working at the night club any more I find it convenient to know where places are to eat so If I'm ever around this area or people ask me where to go I can recommend lots of places near by.

Inside their tables all have big candles on which are lit once it gets dark outside but they do provide a dim light to the restaurant as well so it isn't completely candle lit. This looks as if it should be a romantic place to take a date which is nice that there are places like this around Cleethorpes, it's a bit odd when you're with a mate though and we still decided to keep the candle and re name it out mate date.

My impressions here every time are that it should be new couples dining here, not that it stopped me going, we have had a few work meals out and then gone out afterwards or just somewhere to eat, I've never actually tret this place as anything but that but I can imagine a lot of people do.

It's an Italian restaurant so it means pizzas and pasta dishes mainly but of course they also have big steak dishes here. I always order the bolognaise pizza platter when I come here and my friend orders the cheesey garlic bread pizza platter. This is half a pizza and a side of chips. What I didn't realise is it's half of a 12 inch pizza and a full portion of chips, which means the meals are of a large quantity.

The pizza is home made and always cooked to perfection with masses of meats and toppings, It means that you actually have to cut the pizza up and eat with a knife and fork for fear that if you didn't everything would just slid off there is that much, The chips as well are home made and filled with fluffy potato which is a rare thing to find in a restaurant today.

For the portion of food you actually received the price is brilliant, I can't remember the exact price but it's roughly £5 for that meal which is a bargain because if you go to a chain restaurant you can be paying £6+ for a standard small meal. The service we received was outstanding, the owner of the joint loves interacting with his guests and being really friendly towards him, every time we went in we always had a joke around and it makes the atmosphere really good to be around and it's so light hearted.

Over all, the meals are made to perfection which look and taste delicious, the service is awesome and it's local to most of the attractions cleethorpes has to offer such as the night life, shops, the beach, pier and arcades along with the leisure centre. One of the best things about this place is they are open late, we usually order our meal at 10.15pm so we can be at work for 11pm. Unsure what time they stop serving but I think it is 11pm and then open late for drinks still.
