Advantages: good central position, possibe to park nearby, good food,, excellent value

Disadvantages: a bit noisy., avoid if you don't like mixing with the smart set

I first used this restaurant to impress some cousins (they were impressed) and the next time because it is one of the few central London Italians that is open on a Monday night. We took my family, and not only were they all suited with the excellent food, but were impressed that Michael Palin was seated at the next table. My daughter tells me that this is a regular haunt of Stella McCartney, so if you want to rub shoulders...........
The strange thing is that it is not that expensive. It has a fixed price menu, with 3 courses costing about £22. Two courses for £19. The menu, which is best described as modern Italian, is excellent, and changes all the time to reflect seasonal availability. All the times we have been there, there has been a wide choice which will also accommadate vegetarians. The last time we went, the menu was fish-heavy.
Quality is excellent, and whilst the service can be a little slow, it is friendly and helpful, especially midweek. It gets very full on Saturday night, so you are advised to book.
Wine list is good, and prices are acceptable for the type of venue.
Decor and ambience is attractive. It is a little stark, and can get very noisy when full. It would not be the place I might choose for an intimate dinner for two, but what do I know?
Would I go there again - definitely yes, and in fact I am planning my next outing there, so you might meet me there. May be I should not have been so enthusiastic, as now the place will be packed with dooyoo-ers.
