Lower Road, Surrey Quays/Rotherhithe might not be the most obvious place to look for a good reasonably-priced restaurant, but it's only a short bus/taxi ride from Tower Bridge and the City and two minutes walk from Surrey Quays station/5 minutes from Canada Water. This restaurant has become our favourite for birthdays, anniversaries and is not too expensive for an impromptu midweek meal out. Venezia is a small and unpretentious restaurant, but the service is excellent and friendly and the food is good quality and well-presented and the portions generous.
