Newest Review: ... and we were ready to find a table. Luckily there was a family just leaving and so we plonked ourselves down. Not long had we sat down before a member of staff, about 20 years old came over and removed their rubbish and gave the table a quick dict. Thankfully this little wipe got rid of all the old broken pieces of chip and sticky finger marks. The tables were a good size with enough room ... more

I've been to London now a couple of times this year and one of the restaurants we've dined in, is Wendy's. I've heard about Wendy's in all the films, but had never tried it myself, so I was really excited! We turned up at Wendy's on Oxford street at around 12.30 ready for a spot of lunch. I was a bit worried about this place as I had read some not so good reviews on it however as we were incredibly busy we had to fit something quick in. when we arrived at around 12.25, the first thing that jumped out at us was how busy the place was. The tables were heaving with people however luckily, and what swayed it for us, was that there was just a tiny little queue. ...  Read the complete review

WENDY'S - WHY HAVE THESE RESTAURANTS GONE? (178 words)

There used to be two Wendy's restaurants that I knew of, one at Piccadily Circus & one down Oxford Street, London, these were great offering a really good choice, especially for vegetarians. The food that they offered was tasty and some of it was actually healthy (they had a salad bar, takeaway, salads, jacket potatoes etc.) This was a welcome break from the usual fast food burger chain type restaurants, unfortunately when I last visited Oxford Street and Picadilly Circus - they had both dissapeared - a McDonalds has replaced the Oxford Street one! Has this restaurant chain packed up and gone back to the States? I'm still lamenting the dissapearance of ...  Read the complete review

This is an absolutely wonderful fast food restaurant. Not only are their good healthy salads and strange but tasty square shaped burgers they also great jacket potatoes. I'd try chilli and cheese if you want something a bit different. Their frozen desserts are also lovely. If you compare them to the more normal McDonalds or Burger King there is simply no comparison, the food tastes better, looks better and is worth the wait as sometimes the queues are longer. ...  Read the complete review

Wendy's is that rarest of things; a fast food place that does salads. I used to work in a shop across the road from the Oxford Street branch, and would pop in for my lunch. Wendy's is not widespread in England; I've seen a branch in Leeds, and there used to be one at King's Cross, but the Oxford Street one remains their flagship outlet. They do great burgers. Fantastic burgers. And they're cheap, and meaty, and....ooh. Wonderful things. The salads are fresh and lovely. They also do chili, baked potatoes and chicken in buns. Everything I've had there has been pretty tasty. Hey; anywhere that's going to sell me ...  Read the complete review
