justice system in this country is slow to stop, so when you actually read between the lines, these offences were committed over 12 months ago. The place wouldn't be open now if the authorities involved had decreed the place still unfit for purpose. i've enjoyed meals there for many years, and with my constitution I can soon tell you if there is something wrong there. I've never had a problem there. The food is excellent, the menu is huge as is the bill but you get what you pay for. The service is excellent too, so dont let this bad press put you off, chances are if you go early enough on Friday evening you could get a table quicker than usual because of the article, more fool those who stay away.

best restaurant for steaks although the chips could be home made and not frozen. sometimes it does take a while to get a table but once you get seated the speed of the meals to get to you is quick. All the staff are very friendly and courteus.Downside the toilets could do to be kept cleaner especially when it is busy.Perhaps an attendant could be employed?

From the Yorkshire Evening Post: "A Leeds pub and restaurant has been fined thousands of pounds after "appalling" conditions were discovered in its kitchens. Leeds City Council prosecuted the company that runs Aberford's Swan Hotel after officials found: * Poor standards of cleanliness and maintenance in kitchen and storage areas; * Equipment not being kept clean or in good order and repair; * Food going unprotected from contamination. Swan Hotel (Aberford) Ltd was fined £4,800 and ordered to pay £4,000 costs after pleading guilty at Leeds Magistrates' Court to environmental health breaches. Grant ... Read the complete review
