Although this might seem a little bit biased being a somewhat regular, I feel the restaurant deserves the highest accolade and honour. In fact this restaurant is one of the most famous in UK and Europe and probably the best. It has received many awards and honours in that resepct and numerous good write ups. Though not always perfect, the consistency of the high standard service always make up for any slight inadequacies. Portions can be on the small side for some dishes but I guess this is the going trend for modern cuisuines and the delightful tastes make you go for seconds, though not wise as it can be pricey. There is a good choice of dishes ... Read the complete review

[Collective groan] Yes OK, apologies for the AWFUL pun in the title but it leads nicely into my opinion because the Dim Sum is one of the best aspects of this fantastic restaurant. People who know about these things tell me that the Dim Sum is 'Hong Kong standard' and yes that means bloody good. If it's to your taste you can have a whole lunch made up entirely of Dim Sum and 'Starters' (slightly more substantial and expensive). For those of you who don't know, Yang Sing was gutted when a fire swept through the building a few years ago, and they had to move temporarily to a makeshift location. Even then the food was tremendous working in conditions that were pulled ... Read the complete review

It's good to see the Yang Sing back in Princess Street, following the disastrous fire over a year ago. The premises have been refurbished, and it's now more spacious. They are going from strength to strength - the Yeung brothers featured in a TV series recently. They have also started to sell takeaway meals, which you get packed a handy box. I haven't had one as yet, but it's a great idea, and will make a change from the butties. The Little Yang Sing has always been my favourite Chinese restaurant. Their dim sum, many of which get cooked at your table, are superb - I'll remember the crabmeat parcels forever. I'm afraid I've ... Read the complete review
