Advantages: great atmosphere and food
Disadvantages: can be pricy
Yo Sushi is a great way to experience a little bit of Japan in your home town. As Japanese culture and food is becoming more and more popular in England, more and more Yo Sushi stores are popping up. I have been a fan of sushi for many years now due to it tasting so fresh, being healthy and good for you!
Yo Sushi is a chain of Japanese restaurants with a characteristic conveyor belt that runs round the restaurant with the chefs in the middle making the fresh sushi. You can select dishes from the conveyor belt or alternatively you can order off the menu as not everything is on the belts.
Do not think that just because it is a sushi restaurant that vegetarians or even vegans can't come here, I frequently come here with my vegan friends who find plenty to eat here. There are plenty of non fish options too such as chicken or duck but for the more adventurous they do have raw fish (but don't worry it is all very fresh). There are also hot dishes you can have such as Chicken Katsu Curry (a good choice for non sushi fans) or Pumpkin Korroke (one of my favourites).
The dishes are colour coded so that you can see how much they will cost which helps you see how much you are spending, the vegetarian options are cheaper and miso soup is refillable for free (they don't like to advertise that but you can ask for free refills)
They also don't advertise well that you pay £1 to use the tap water which is on the table but again you can refill that as much as you want and have the option of still or sparkling.
If you order takeaway here you get a heck of alot more than you do when you are eating in for example, I tend to order the Chicken Katsu Curry as it is only £4.50 but they fill the whole take away box with it so you really couldn't eat anything else as there is so much but ordering it to eat in it is in one of their small dishes so you would need a few other items to fill you up yet it is the same price. It is only the hot food that you get more of though when taking away.
Overall it is quite expensive to eat here as you do normally need several dishes for a meal when eating in so would cost around £10-25 per person for lunch for a moderate appetite depending on what you ordered but they do have deals on their website so check them out before you go.
I would highly recommend this restaurant, it is a great fun way to enjoy sushi ^_^
Summary: definitly worth a visit
