Having noticed there are several restaurants in my local town listed on this site, many of which I have eaten at, I decided to write a few reviews of them. One such restaurant is Zizzis. When it first opened in the town a few years ago, I had never heard of the Zizzi chain and in fact didn't know that it was a chain restaurant until I looked into it a little more. Zizzis is a chain of Italian restaurants which aim to give customers a decent Italian meal experience at good value prices. They offer a wide range of Italian dishes, naturally a lot of pasta, pizzas and salads etc are on the menu. The Zizzis Restaurant in Maidstone is a large building ... Read the complete review

All this eating out I have been doing over the summer isn’t doing me any favours at all, but I figure I might as well dooyoo one, by writing another restaurant review and adding to the catalogue. On Saturday Afternoon, I went to Maidstone with my boyfriend and as we were famished we set about finding somewhere to east immediately. We headed to Earl Street, which is home to the Pizza Express, Nando’s, Mexxa Mexxa of Maidstone but decided that as we had already been to all three, to go to Zizzi instead, for a bit of a change. The menu is just your average Italian. Pasta , pizza, a few chicken dishes, and some steak dishes. However because it is part of the chain you can guarantee some consistency and if you don't know an area it's a safe place to go Prices also average £8-£10 for pasta and pizza £12-£15 for a meat dish. The mozzarella salad for starters is nice but nothing you can't get in any other Italians. A bottle of house white/ red comes in at £12-13. Service is quick and very efficient, I have been twice in a group of 20 plus and they have handled the service exceptionally even the drunken members of our party!! In my opinion there is usually a ... Read the complete review

I am sad to say very dissapointing food. Attractive and welcoming interiorwith attentive staff & interesting wines. The starters we ordered varied in both quantity & quality. Calamari very good, with mayo & lemon. Bruchetta very dissapointing the topping looked & tasted like it came out of a tub of supermarket sandwich filler. Main course pizza good and so it should be , main course rissoto a disaster! Bland, no texture, insufficient seasoning and a very small portion ( it's rice- hardly an expensive ... I must say that the value is really fantastic. I really enjoyed my meal from start to finish. You get a lot for what you pay and the decor of the restaurant is very nice. The waitstaff seems wll equiped to deal with any cicumstance. I would certainly return even if I hadn't received a gift card for a free meal because a gentleman stood on a table and removed his genitals midway through dessert. ... Read the complete review
