Soho Kitchen (Breda, Netherlands) ... I had visited this restaurant last year and remember being impressed both by the service and the food, which definitely made it worth coming back again with my pen. Handily placed on the main square, the Grote Markt, the restaurant is really central and surrounded by many other restaurants plying for the same business. THE RESTAURANT The décor was very clean looking, arty and more than a little pretentious. It looked like a vision of the future from the 70s. Some Andy Warhol prints and mirrors lined the white walls as well as some flowery wallpaper, a rather odd combination. Restaurants in Berlin in General ... so we were camping in Germany yesterday and today we are eating out in Berlin. Berlin is one of my favourite cities to visit and since there are a variety of cheap air operators flying to the city it makes it easy to hop on a plane and visit regularly. Berlin is a vibrant city offering history, culture, art and nightlife. A sprawling metropolis packed with towering flat blocks, roads of exquisite shops and boutiques, cinemas, theatres, museums - everything you could ever wish to see packed into this great city. Cili Kaimas ... Kaimas is not so different from the restaurant I reviewed yesterday "Forto Dvaras". whilst it s also a traditional Lithuanian restaurant, it is perhaps more popular than it s competitor and it is part of the Cili chain which also includes Cili Pica. There are several in Kaunas, Vilnius and Klaipeda and the one that I am reviewing is the one in the center of Vilnius located at Vokieciu gatve 8. Forto Dvaras is relatively large but with quite a lot of clutter and not a great deal of room to move around in where as Cili Kaimas is rather open-plan.
