Advantages: Good location

Disadvantages: Everything else

I've already reviewed what I believe to be the best and 2nd best kebabs in Warsaw, Airam Kebab is one of the worst ones, although the competition is stronger at this end of the scale.

Located in the circular subway of Metro Centrum on the entrance heading to the side of the Novotel along Aleje Jerezolimskie, Airam is cramped, there's no places to sit and there's barely room to stand, it's one of those places where you have a problem to get through the door, if there is anyone (even one person) already queueing. Airam is nearly always empty and the tell-tale signs of an awful kebab were there both in the decor and lack of custom. I decided to give it a go one day anyway as the prices looked quite reasonable (they have since gone up from 6 to 7zl).

The kebab meat was chewy, a lot of gristle was included. The pitta bread was dry but had fortunately livened up a little bit once it had been put in the microwave (the kebab meat had been cut some time before I think). The few thrills that this place offers include additional meat in your kebab, or feta cheese thrown in, the sauces are mild or spicy as in most Warsaw kebab joints.

There's also a fridge with drinks in it, if you really fancy going wild! This place really has little atmosphere with a grumpy local usually serving you (Polish are by enlarge awful at serviing kebabs and the cheeky chappies from the Arab world are usually more skilled at making them and a lot more cheerful (the pay is low and the hours are long, it's not a particularly good deal for a local to work there)

It's probably not the worst, after all there's no proof of anyone getting food poisoning here but if you are passing by, don't bother with this one.. especially as Warsaw's no.2 kebab house (in my opinion) is just out of the metro - Bar Egypt.

Summary: One of Warsaw's worst kebabs!

Lol, I can't believe you went round Warsaw looking for kebabs and pizzas!

Tiny typo in the 3rd para. 'Grissle' should read 'gristle'.

An amusing and somewhat surreal review.
