Gebert's Weinstuben in Mainz, Germany is the best place we have ever eaten. The chef has prepared food for the Chancelor of Germany and President of Russia; yet prices are extremely reasonable. The chef and staff are the most friendly people we have met in the country. They will offer to purchase ingredients to prepare special dishes upon request, and make the most delicious homemade chocolates. His desserts are exquisite, and he likes to deliver the plates to his honored guests in person. Four of us ate for only 65 Euro, to include the pralines we ordered to go (zum mitnahmen). ...
