Sundays in the Algarve are always special - it is the time when families get together and drive out to Monchique and Foia to eat in the many restaurants situated on this long road full of hair pin bends. This area of Portugal is what I call my home - it is where I lived for several years and my family still have land and property. Even though I now live a long way from 'home' I still manage every year to go back and visit and will be going very shortly - like in a few days.
