Johnnies New York Pizza

In a city where you can eat just about any kind of cuisine from around the world, it's a bit sad to choose a fairly basic pizzeria as my favourite restaurant in LA. But every time I go, I keep having to go back there. Situated on fashionable (so they tell me) 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, Johnnies is a no nonsense New York style pizzeria serving truly fantastic pizzas and pastas. While the quality of food and service is excellent, the best thing about Johnnies is the house Chianti which is only $5.99 per litre (yes $5.99).
