Ask a Korean their opinion of Western food and chances are they'll restrict their response to the relative merits of McDonald's versus KFC followed by a few complimentary words about spaghetti and pizza. For, while fast food restaurants and cheap pasta places abound in Korea, the relatively few upmarket Western restaurants in Korea are prohibitively priced as far as the locals are concerned. L'abri certainly falls into the latter category. Owned by a French expat who has lived in Seoul for sixteen years, L'abri caters predominantly for rich Korean businessmen and foreign diplomats.
