Lindy'sNewest Review: ... like a diner than a restaurant. The tables were packed closely together and were fairly small but this is New York where space is at a premium. The first unpleasant surprise was when the waitress brought the menu. The prices were very high. $5.00 for a coffee! I couldn't believe it. It was supposed to be free refills but still!!! Most places charge $2- $2.50 with refills. The rest of the menu was just as expensive. $17.00 for a sandwich.$22.00 for fish and chips, if I remember rightly. This is a review of Lindy's Restaurant, Pennsylvania Hotel. 7th Avenue. New York. Lyndy's has a bright frontage at the front of the Pennsylvania Hotel on 7th Avenue. It boasts "The Best Cheesecake in New York!" We didn't find out if that was true because having experienced the first course, we couldn't get out of there quickly enough. As I said in my review of the Hotel Pennsylvania, Lindy's was the first place we saw and we were tired after traveling so the six of us went in. We were greeted cheerfully and seated promptly.
