Chinatown (New York City): ... recently visited New York in March 2007 and we decided to take a trip out to chinatown as we had heard that there was great bargains to be found. Chinatown is like a different world you wouldn t think that you are in New York at all. Its very busy and if you don t like lots of people about this is not the place for you. The street are dirty and quite frankly smelt a wee bit. The merchants can be very pushy and are ...

belfin The Brig Restaurant - Dana Point, California
... Obviously because we were doing a lot of travelling around the States, we visited a great many restaurants and diners but only one really made such an impression on us that I felt I had to write about it. From a virtually empty diner in the Desert Centre near Joshua Tree National Park to Denny s in San Francisco and Vegas, we visited a fine selection and I have to say we didn t have one bad meal the whole time we were out there but this one was a little bit special. Situated around 65 miles up the coast from San Diego, we decided to stop off at the beautiful area known as Dana Point in Orange County. We had decided to take our time travelling from San Diego...

... York it s not so big but with all the things to see and do it seems much bigger and with the majority of hotels offering room only, eating out is the only option and finding a good restaurant can be hit and miss which is why I always like reading people s reviews before I go away. *~*Location*~* Once you become familiar with the way the New York Streets operate then finding this Diner will not be a problem it is on the corner of Broadway adjacent to West 51st Street next to the Gershwin Theatre you will find that the queues will lead you there! *~*About the Restaurant*~* What makes this one different from all the others? Simply the fact that when you walk through t...

mary Lexington Candy Shop
... place is the last great luncheonette left in New York City. The food is always fresh, and the quality is exceptional. Their pancakes are light and fluffy, the French toast is thick and moist, and the eggs are like your mother would make. The orange juice is fresh squeezed and the sodas are made the old fashioned way (seltzer added to the syrup). Better shakes and malteds you won t find anywhere. It s a great treat on the weekends....
