Tavern on the Green: ... cannot disagree enough with the first review on this site of Tavern on the Green. I am just back from New York City where I had a fantastic and outrageously expensive 8 days. New York is fabulous for food. There is no need to go the tourist spots like Tavern to find a perfectly cooked steak. My experience was that I pulled up outside Tavern, opened the cab door and was immediately struck by the strongest po...

Cammij Red Lobster
... so you know, this subject is here because I asked Simone to put it here and she was kind enough to make it. So sit back, relax, maybe you would like some tea? and read it. Red Lobster is a big chain Seafood restaurant that is all over America. It is sort of a nicer place to go if you live in a totally middle class world like me. To many people it is the nicest most expensive place to go although real gourmets eschew this place. An arrogant guy named Joe Queenan wrote a book a few years ago called "Red Lobster, White Trash and Blue Lagoon" where he went around culturally slumming and then wrote about all the stuff that most Americans enjoy with a condes...

abababbey Restaurants in New Orleans
... on my last night in New Orleans we decided to have dinner at Nola. This, as you must know is an acronym for New Orleans La. This is one of Emeril's restaurants. In New Orleans, he has 3 of his restaurants, all situated within 5 miles of each other. So, we chose Nola. We called ahead to make reservations and were told "sorry, nothing is available for tomorrow night, please call back and check for cancellations." So, instead, my daughter called her friend Terry, who happens to be the head waiter for the VIP and local section of the restaurant. Terry happily arranged for us to get a lovely table for two, upstairs, overlooking the "tourist sect...

wulise One If By Land, Two If By Sea
... visited this restaurant on 29th April for my 11th wedding anniversary and ‘One If By Land, Two If By Sea’ proved to be an excellent dining experience. I am a Vegan vegetarian and my hotel had booked my husband and I into this restaurant for that special meal. Apparently it is hard to get reservations at and I understand from time to time, there is a waiting list. We were also told that it was not cheap! We were unsure what to expect and had only read the concierge’s guide. We were not disappointed for as promised there were roses on the table and soft romantic music in the background, with a real log fire at the hearth. It is not a place for families w...
