Boze Cialo, a mere stone's throw away from the popular Nathan's Villa Hostel, Pierozki u Vicenta is a small cramped little joint who have added to their menu over the years and have retained popularity. There's now about 30 dishes on the menu, the majority of which are pierogis with unique flavours, the sweet ones tend to be a real treat and coated in cream are unbelievable. This is one of the few places, I have seen that branch out in to the Russian "pelmieni" (pierogi as well!) and even venture in to cepeliniai (the Lithuanian traditional dish) which is more like the Polish "pyzy" ... more

The stodgy little pierogi is an interesting food, popular with the majority of Central and Eastern europeans, this Polish dumpling like speciality appeals to the majority of visitors as well. Even to the long-term expat, the appeal of pierogis fails to wear off (unless eaten everyday) and whilst homemade are definitely best, those that can be found in pierogarnias (restaurants which specialise in pierogis) are equally as good.
