Advantages: phtoographer, decor, music

Disadvantages: poor quality food, high prices, bad service

As you can imagine a day at Disneyland consumes and awful lot of energy, hot dog stalls are hideously pricey and so by the time it gets to evening you'll be keeling over and hallucentating about food.
My friends and I had all decided in the morning that we'd eat at Planet Hollywood so we made a beeline for this restaurant which is placed just by the entrance to the parks. Its exterior design is the same as it is everywhere else so it is easily recognizable.
I'd never eaten in any of the other restaurants in the chain so I was quite excited to try the food as I'd heard it was good.
Much to my dismay I'd heard wrong.
The restaurant was heaving, which meant we had to wait for a table. However, the bar was nice, the decor is interesting and gives you something to look at as you are waiting for your table. My friends and I spent our time trying to identify all the different characters and actors on the walls.
We were placed in a booth seat and therefore the 6 of us felt like sardines in a tin, which always results in the annoying situations where if one person needs to get up for the toilet, everybody else has to get up to let this person out.
The menu itself I felt didn't offer a very large variety of plates, all sounding rather unappealing. My friend, a vegetarian, really struggled to find a suitable dish and settled for one she wasn't exceedingly happy about getting. I ordered the lasange.
Whilst waiting for our food a couple of us went to browse the gift shop which was a let down, the t-shirts were overly tacky and I failed to see how they could possibly be worth the extortionate prices. I left without buying anything, which I'd been dead set on doing.
We returned to find our food on the table, which was quick....great when youre in a hurry but made me a little weary about the quality.
My plate looked to be full of dogfood in eggy-like pockets to be quite honest...defnitely unappealing. I started anyway....the taste matched the aesthetics...I was furious. Another friend at the table found she didn't have what she ordered, yet the staff were uncooperative so she ate it anyway. Non of us were pleased with our meal.
The photographer then came round and took a picture of our group which I thought was nice, however a few moments later he came back with a copy of the picture in a frame and a smaller version in a keyring. They looked good but he was charging £15 for each or £20 for both which I didn't think was worth it after having paid more than that for a horrible meal.
When the waiter came round to collect our large amount of left over and take them away, he offered dessert....I couldn't think of anything worse!

A bad end to a great day.

Summary: I wonder how it sustains such a decent reputation

I always quite fancied trying one of these restaurants - don't think I'll bother now. Thanx

We had a really nice meal here and there was a huge menu choice....they must have amended it since.
