Restaurants in Barcelona in generalNewest Review: ... completely agree with the previous review. The waiter was awfully rude, we didn't manage to get him to explain us what the food was (in any language). And once the plate served wasn't what we thought and wanted to change it, we had to fight for half an hour to give it back. The owner made a terrible scene screaming and in the end made a "mistake" with the bill. The food was regular, not specially good. Looks more like a horror show than a restaurant to me. Thank god there are thousands of places much better...... more |

What a terrible place. Please don't waste your time here. It is in the Gothic Quarter and the service is dreadful (rude, not slow, in fact they wanted our money and us out of there asap). Terrible food, a salad made only of iceberg lettuce, 3 olives and a pre-war gherkin. Napkins only handed out begrudgingly, no toilet roll in the loos, no soap to wash your hands with. It was just bad, so bad that it was not even laughable. A terrible experience. ... Read the complete review

The lovely decor (or beachfront terrace, depending on if you've booked in advance) is matched by friendly service and some superb seafood and carpaccio dishes. As you are no doubt aware the Spanish generally eat Tapas for lunch which is basically little bowls of snacks. Some of these such as potato salad and Feta cheese are well known to us but others can be a bit more of a gamble. As it was we generally got three good ones out of five which meant McDonalds had to make up for the shortfall. Evening meals were ... Read the complete review
