How many kinds of food are there in China? You may not want to count it. In my opinion, adding up all the dishes of the other countries, the number is still far behind the food you can find in China. Its tradition on food has been developed for five thousand years, and it is really impossible to taste them all in your life. So, if you decided a take a trip tp China, and to try some classic Chinese food, Beijing is indeed your destination.

As the political and economic center of China, Beijing gather all kinds of food in China. It wil take a book to tell them all, I just list two restaurant I like most.

1. Quanjude Peking Roast Duck.
Maybe the most famouse and histroic restaurant in Beijing. It now has many branches. Roast Duck is its favorite. The Duck is breed in a spectially process, so that to make sure they are rich in fat. The duck is roast in an ancient wood shelf, which the wood is carefully picked. After roast, the duck has tp be sliced by a chief. Every slice is a combine of skin and meat,and the total slice is 108, no more no less.

2. Niu Street.
Niu Street is a place in Beijing, rather than a restaurants, but it is indeed famous. It provied all kind of Musilim food. The roasted lamb in a stick is my favorite.

Sure there are other place you need to have a look, but this two place is my favorite. I think they can be fully representative of the food of Beijing.
